The whole series of vehicles was produced in the 1950īs at Cadillac's Cleveland Tank Plant with first production models coming off the line in 1951 and by 1953 the M41 tank version had totally replaced the M24 Chaffee. Originally it was to be called the 'Little Bulldog' but after General W W Walker was killed in Korea it was renamed the 'Walker Bulldog' in his honor. Production ceased in the 1960s after over 6,000 examples of the tank and its variants had been built.
